Planning is essential to successful businesses. This course is designed for manufacturing planners and schedulers and provides an initial introductory insight to the master planning process.

An effective manufacturing planning method is to develop a master plan first, and then secondly a detailed schedule.

Master planning consist of two very important levels of planning: a long-term approach referred to as sales and operations planning and a mid-term activity called master scheduling.

This course focuses on the long-term planning popularly known as S&OP. Some companies insert an “I” for inventory, then it becomes known as the “SIOP” process.

And now, a new name, “Integrated Business Planning (IBP)” is being promoted.
